Our History
True Deliverance Holiness Church, Inc. was established in the year 1998. Bishop Nolan T. Torbert, D.D. is the Founder and Overseer. With the support of some faithful and dedicated members, the Ministry is steadily making history. The Kingdom of God is being perfected through several outreach ministries at TDHC to name only a few, Marriage Couple Ministry, Single Ministry, Young Brothers Enrichment, Youth Ministry, Women Ministry, Education and College Ministry, and Health and Medical Ministry. TDHC is a Changing Hearts and Destiny Ministry. Over the past ten years, the Lord has granted favor upon TDHC. Hundreds of souls have been saved, set free and truly delivered and many lives have been changed during this duration of time. TDHC is a Ministry that exemplifies and demonstrates strong leadership abilities. When looking back over the last ten years, Bishop Nolan Torbert often say “Thank God for a good team” and he humbly say, “To God Be the Glory.” “I am a strong believer that when you are lead by the Spirit of God and move in ‘due season,’ the Hands of the Lord will be upon you,” said Bishop Torbert.
TDHC is a Ministry that knows its purpose and constantly strives for new levels, higher heights and destiny. When talking to our Visionary, he reminds his followers that everyday is not going to be easy and dedication, preparation and implementation is not an option. Through scrutiny and opposition TDHC stands firmly on the Church’s Theme Scripture, “Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come,” Acts 26:22. Bishop often say that TDHC would not be where it is today if it had not been for a strong foundation that Apostle Charles F. Johnson, his former Church Visionary, imparted in him for over 22 years. Therefore, Bishop Torbert encourages followers to be truthful and supported of their Leaders and God will reward them accordingly.
